HI, I'M NONTRA

I have been working in Product Design and Development for over 15 years for top retailers such as Disney, Target, Liverpool, and JCPenney, with some freelance sprinkled in. I specialize in Apparel and Accessories and have been responsible for every aspect of the development process from Trend all the way through to Production.

I grew up in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C. and learned how to sew at a young age from my grandmother. I knew, from the moment I picked up a needle and thread, that I was meant to make things. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design from The Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia and graduated the Summa Cum Laude and the Valedictorian of my class. In my college career I received several merit scholarships and was the winner of two CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) awards for Fashion Design. Following college I was immediately recruited to work for Target in Childrens' Apparel and eventually moved to Los Angeles to design for Disney Consumer Products where I have grown my career. I have worked on products for all ages, spanning all Softlines categories. I have a strong understanding of materials and construction, but also color, print & pattern, and graphic design. I am a hands-on collaborator while also driving creative direction and business strategies.

Beyond work, I love to create! I am never not making something and enjoy learning new skills to broaden my abilities. I have never met a craft I didn't like. I currently live in Burbank, California with my husband, Steve, and 3 young children Lincoln, Brooklyn, and Hudson.
